Wednesday Feb 4, 2025 | 🍲 Chili Cook-Off Contestant Instructions

Thank you for participating in our Annual Chili Cook-Off! We’re excited to have you compete for bragging rights and the title of Chili Champ while supporting an important ministry project.

Date: Wednesday, February 4
Time: 6:00–7:30 PM
Location: Church Gym (South Building)

Setup Time: Please arrive early enough to be fully set up and ready to serve by 6:00 PM.

📝 Before You Arrive

Complete the Chili Entry Form prior to the event.
Prepare your chili at home (no cooking on-site).
Bring a crockpot of chili.
Clearly display your chili name at your station.
Provide a simple ingredient/allergen list (important for guests with food sensitivities).

🔌 What to Bring

Your chili in a slow cooker, roaster, or warming device
Any extension cords you may need (we have some cords, but may need more.)
Serving utensils
Any condiments or toppings you want to offer (cheese, onions, crackers, etc.)

🏠 What We Provide

Tables and chairs
Electricity
Sample cups and spoons
Voting tickets for tasters

🗳 Judging & Voting

Judges’ scores must be turned in 15 minutes before the end of the event.
Crowd Favorite voting will end 15 minutes before the event concludes.
Guests vote by placing tickets into the can labeled with your chili name.
Each taster receives five tickets upon donation.

Crowd Favorite
Most Creative Chili (Best booth and chili presentation)
Most creative name

Awards will be announced immediately following the event.

🙌 Important Notes

Contestants are responsible for serving their own chili.
Please keep your area clean and safe throughout the evening.
Be ready to smile, answer questions, and have fun - this is a fellowship event first!
